Rear stub axle nut

Post by DJZ »

Hi guys,

I'm after one locking (not staked) rear stub axle nut from something like a 280ZX or R30, probably other IRS cars as well, it's for the small stub axles so is M20 x 1.5.

Yeah I thought about a nyloc but I've already got one genuine one so thought I'd try getting a 2nd.

I did find that some motorcycle rear wheel nuts are the same thread and you can get titanium ones... :)

Another thought is to use a normal nut and a Nordlok positive locking washer.

They work on friction and compression and are bloody hard to get undone once they are on.

Apart from letting go with a hell of a bang they work really welll
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

Got it sorted, bought the titanium ones haha, bit of a waste of money but they'll look cool for about 5 minutes before I hopefully never see them again.
