What I'm trying to do is install a J15 out of a Datsun 620 ute into a P411 (which came out with a J13). The 411 wagon I have didn't come with a motor unfortunately, so I'm assuming the J15 block is the same as a J13, but the J15 sump must be a lot bigger than a J13 sump, as it hits the crossmember and steering when I tried to install it.
It's likely I'll be getting the grinder and welder out on the J15 sump and pickup, but would love to save myself the hassle and find a J13 sump and pickup from a 411 sedan/wagon if anyone has a spare.
Cheers
Martin

Do you have a picture of the 620 sump? As a reference for what sump it isn't?
I have a seized motor, which I think is actually an english version of the same engine. (The oil pressure sender protrudes from the block at a different angle)

Found a better pic of the J15 sump (noting this does not fit the 411, but you can use for reference to the sump you have).

Does the J13 have a smaller bore, or a shorter stroke?
I'll have a look at mine next time I'm at mums.
What angle is the oil pressure sender at?
I've seen two versions. one sticks out at 90*, and the other points up at a 45* angle.

It's all good Bart, I think I'm just going to get the grinder out and be done with it

I was there today, and I forgot all about it. (I was distracted with a BMW with oil in the water instead)
