Though i would throw up a thread on my 1200 ute build !
My plan is to do a CA18det conversion with a R30 stumpy box and R31 diff conversion, with a little restoring on the way I'm 6 months in and have done a little but have spent more money !!
what i have done so far is removed old A15 motor and 5pd, diff, brake lines fuel line all suspension components, dash and all waring, cleanded undercarriage, engine bay, front wheel arches and resealed with new paint. I've stripped down the motor and completely cleaned in side and out replaced every gasket and seal, cam belt, oil pump, water pump, thermostat etc. Resprayed the block, ceramic coated standard exhaust manifold and turbo rear housing, blasted and polished plenum and inlet manifold acid bathed the sump, cam covers and fuel rail. Removed the battery stand and repainted the engine bay, removed front valance to make easy installation for the motor and box as one.
I have just got my R31 diff back from being shortened, and the stumpy box is in ATM getting rebuilt, next will be to get some custom cables made before i paint the diff housing and have it rebuilt will also be rebulid rear calipers.
plans for the motor :
T28
bosch 550cc injectors
Z32 afm
nistune board
450x300x75 front mount intercooler
electronic boost controller
lighten flywheel and new clutch
butterflies removed ..... would be stoked to get around 300hp for now !
suspension and brakes ;
120y front sway bar, maddat 22mm caster rods, 120y front struts, king springs lowered front springs, reset rear spring with vw rear shocks.
s13 front brake conversion, r31 rear disk set up, all new brake lines, maddat brake booster and clutch combo.
drive line :
r31 diff shortened and rebuilt with new axles, bearings, and rebuilt LSD unit, custom drive line.
fuel system :
surge tank, pick up pump, bosch 044 pump, braided lines, and new hard fuel lines.
Other maddat gear :
engine fitting kit, turbo dump pipe, speedo cable, accelerator cable and steering brace
I will be de looming the engine bay and will try and conceal all the wiring that i can !
i think thats it for now ...... ill get some photos up !!

Funny how the pics always seem to end up in reverse order.
Starts off looking good, and gets more "un-restored" in each pic lol.
