They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
Re: Luke's GA16DE Coupe
It has cost a lot to know the right select group of people ......... as of last Thursday I've hit $38k. Yes. I know. But I would have just drunk it away otherwise.
But I have learnt a huge amount since September 2011 ish

Re: Luke's GA16DE Coupe
fender mirrors turned up today, 2 days from japan!!! brilliant. have found my adapter plates and rebuilt s13 brakes so will look at fitting them tomorrow once/if the mini shell drop goes okay.
also got chris to suss out a broken bead on one of my tyres so hopefully i wont have to splash out for new tread.

Re: Luke's GA16DE Coupe
Another boring update, BUT WITH PICTURES! kitch stopped in last night unexpectedly for a beer and a chat before trying to win the 2k cup challenge today so i felt guilty about this not getting love lately.
have been throwing more money into this thing. WOW what a shock! better than working on it........
number 1 expense.........
i have purchased leppas fully adjustable front suspension for a very nice price (thanks man!) and big cheers to hayden for bringing it home from blenhiem for me, and brendan for grabbing them from rolleston and dropping them off.
Setup consists of:
MSD 45mm coilovers with unknown spring rate and keeper springs
30mm bump steer spacers (spares as i already got 34mm ones off john a while back)
MADDAT adjustable castor rods
Unknown brand camber plates which i probably wont use as i like the factory look/would have to drill out standard holes in strut tower. reluctant at this stage as i have not modified the body in any way so i could revert back to original if i changed my mind for the 40th time........ but will hold on to for a bit just incase i change my mind.
leppa ran a ridiculous slam setup to the point where even this setup wasnt quite captive! even under load. (see pics) hes a bad man.
before installation i will be getting the struts sent off to be crack tested etc to save me pulling them out in case cert man asks about them. think i will use the bloke based in temuka based on what kitch has had to go through (if hes even still alive by the time i actually finish this stupid thing!!!!)
Number 2 expense......
lewis can do a DAMN FINE job
all seats are finished, with only door cards to go. i cannot reccomend him nough when it comes to auto trimming and i havent even seen the finished product yet! this is just based off the awesome pictures!
(admittedly i still owe him $90 to be square with all seats finished and looking mint!..... but it makes me hit exactly $40,000 that i can remember spending, and thats excluding alcohol consumed during the build. he will have it asap.
