Re compliance
Re compliance
So my car has to be recomplied, where is the best place to go and how hard is it going to be to pass? i have rust but im unsure if it will be structual also one of the chassis numbers has been drilled out, i will put it back in but how major will they check it?
You wouldn't have that problem with a V8!!!!
Re: Re compliance
to be honest its getting very hard, even fresh jap imports are getting a hard time, you WILL be required to have the entire underneath sand blasted and underbody sealer applied. (its mandatory) allow around $1000 for this, cost of compliance around $600 includes wof and rego, factor in any rust repairs (if there is rust you MUST have it repaired) rust cert $250 odd, plus cost of repairs.
It gets pretty pricey pretty quick, im doing a valiant for a customer that would pass its warrant check tomorrow on the body side of things, but for a re-vin its getting pulled apart for the smallest things.
not good news im sorry, buying a live shell is your better option.

Re: Re compliance
I think theres a bit of a difference between a revin, and a fresh compliance. ie, never been on the road in NZ.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
