Re: Kitchs 1200 Coupe - PAINTED AT LAST!!!!!!!

Post by Kitch »

racing went well Vaughan. got a 2nd , 6th & 7th. not bad considering half way thru race 2, engine ate all the oil, v-tec stopped, check engine light came on & went into limp home mode. be an engine swap before I am up at ruapuna for final round in 3 weeks. still leading the inaugural championship; just...

Anyway enough about that; washed the coupe for first time ever, and more importantly I drove it for the first time properly ever in its 8 year history under my ownership.

Took it out for final detailing, blatted it up the road, thru the gears up to the ton! was screaming! unfortunately my big plan of a video of a wide open throttle fly by, went tits up due to lack of fuel / flat battery as a result of charge circuit problem....

but still had an ear to ear smile, the ITB's were singing at full noise and car sat pretty nice on the road too!

I can finally say with meaning it - Akaroa this year boys :D

Thanks guys - yeah I am obviously stoked.
The paint looks amazing - the painter cant believe how sweet it has come up,
he reckons it is the best job he has ever done.

Few niggly things to still sort out, but that wont stop me getting it in for first cert inspection later in the month
