hi all, was hoping to post a pic of this complete with side glass and new head lining, but alas the headlining is still not in, trimmer was going to do it sat , but stuff came up and he couldn't make it, he thinks he will be able to put it in tomorrow. fingers crossed.
barts dad has shortened the gas inserts to keep the springs captive, so will be able to put them in for the final time, and Brock should be back at work from holiday (Datsun fettling) this week so will be placing an order for master cylinder and slave cylinders for the diff, would like to get the brakes going before the engine goes in. once headlining is done I can start on the wiring loom and heater, before installing the dash etc. cant wait, all hinges on the trimmer.

Be sure to get car, or coupe wheel cylinders.
Ute and 'goon ones are different. (due to the drum front end)

I suppose so.
The ute ones are bigger (Or smaller?) to compensate for the front drums needing more fluid displaced to work. As front discs use less fluid, (Or more?) the rear will be more inclined to lock up first.

progress yah! so very very happy with this, as it was the one part of the car I was worried would let the whole thing down, if not replaced.
