Datsun 1200 coupe left hand sill wanted

Post by kartboy »

Had a call from the father in law last night and advised that someone had folded up a new left hand sill and just stuck it over the old one so not to flash

Has anyone got one lying around or know best place to buy one B E Car parts or Kent distributors don't have any.

I make my own, but really need the car on hand to do that, if you can source one in aussie , im going there at the end of the month, or there is the guy in Invercargill, who advertises on tardme , probably would need some fettleing to get it to fit nice.

Thought that may be the case, bit hard to have on hand as car is now in Picton. Have had a look on ebay but not sure who is good to deal with and who isn't.

I got a pair from a place in Aussie off ebay, was 190nz landed, the ones in Invercargill are 170 each plus shipping!

automotive panel craft.

Ive also got one i got folded locally, but its not really a great shape, but would be on for a cheapy, possibly got it made from slightly too heavy gauge it it was hard to keep the curve in it when the rest was folded.

There are pictures of the Taiwanese sills from Aus on my build thread. I bought four to put on my sedan (reversed two of them on order to make up the extra length. They have the recess behind the front guards and fit perfectly. Nice and easy to weld also

I bought mine from the guy in Invercargill. Fit perfectly, but not sure they are original bend profile (which didn't matter too much since both sides were replaced).
My orangatang 510 here.
