Thought it was about time i joined this forum that Chris loves so dearly.
So here it is, 3 years in and nearly ready to prime for painting.
Work so far :
Full bare metal strip, sandblasted inside, outside and underneath.
Spare tire well floor replaced, battery box sunk in as part of boot floor.
Left and right sills replaced and front section of inners.
Parcel tray seam edges replaced.
Real panel seams and tail light surrounds replaced.
Lower rear gaurds and inners replaced.
Left side roof edge and gutter rail replaced.
Full length boot edge replaced.
All four doors, lower corners replaced and inners repaired.
Lower front gaurds replaced.
Front x-member replaced and radiator support panel brace.
Strut towers removed, repiared and refitted.
All three layers of upper firewall corners replaced
Firewall modified for brake cylinder.
Custom g/box tunnel & box mounts.
Rust removed from chassis rails and repaired.
New taiwanese bonnet, rear edge unfolded and reshaped for correct fit and frame modified for radiator clearance.
Weight reduction is important!!!
Sandblasted and extra spot welds for strength.
Ready to refit.
Full baremetal strip.
Sandblasted inside, engine bay and underneath.
As it turns out, Factory Detomaso Pantera 17x13" rims do not fit on a 1200!!!

It kind of makes it look like a hot wheels car.

That's wicked, taking of the strut towers, that sure is making sure there will be no rust anywhere.
