I wanted to do that and keep the original 1200 fuel tank but everyone I took the tank too said they couldnt do it...

If you were more local, I could have swapped you mine for yours with some cash me way.
Freight would kill it though.
Did you try a radiator shop?
The BRE 510 had section of pipe (Maybe 2.5-3inch?) set into the bottom of the tank, with a floor in it and the fuel outlet in the bottom. This way they could run until there was no gas left in the tank. Some of the guys on Oldschool might be coming down from the north island for the old school hanmer meet. But I doubt they'd wanna lug a fumy old fuel tank down, and then back up again though.

Iv got my old tank which we did that to il sell it to you cos it didn't fix my lean out problem but hey you might not have as heavy foot as me haha

About to do mine for the 1600, just going to fill it up with water and cut/weld it full.
Will then run a small tank with internal pump in the wheel well.

Love this car.............

basically I just need an AN weld in fitting welded to the tank, where the original outlet was
