datsun 180b/610
this is my datsun 180b ( first ever post so i don't know if all the photos will up load or how this will turn out but bear with me im going to try make this my build thread )
So i bought this car about 3 mouths back now on the 9th of may 2015 form Blenheim, It was in pretty rough shape it was sprayed black with no prep work done(as far as i can tell) then sanded back by the and primerd by the previous owner. it had compressed springs and cheviot turbos on as well.
I brought it back to my place just out side of motueka nelson where i put it in my garage and got to work on the resto mod
things i have done so far:
rebuild back brakes and bled system
repainted fuel tank
repainted boot
repainted under front guard
body sanded back and sprayed with etching primer
dealt with most rust (wasn't bad for a datsun )
cleaned up the engine bay
rewrapped most of the wiring and cleaned it up
new plugs
new air filter
new battery
new glove box
original steering wheel
reconder bumpers and bumper lights
and alot more that i missed out
PLANS: Im looking in to building this car into a racing daily, with the folwing mods if you have done any your self please comment and tell me how it went ,what to look out for and what products and parts worked for you i want to do it once and do it right.

*r180 diff and rear disk brake up grade
*all round suspension upgrade
*twin su carbs
*sss dash upgrade (allready have the dash)

I love these early 610s, cool cars, good on you for taking the path less taken, it should be very rewarding.
Great progress hopefully some day I'll get to see this in the flesh.
