FS: 1975 Datsun 120y - Wellington

Post by beaver »

Here we go again.....long story short I am looking to free up some cash for other life priorities.

1975 Datsun 120y
130,xxx kms.

I brought it 3 years ago as a low owner (3 I think) 1200cc auto and have since done the following:
  • Replaced original motor with a15 (1500cc). Runs a bit rough but hasnt given me any trouble.
  • 5 speed gearbox
  • Recored radiator at 110,000km
  • Adjustable coilovers using all new parts including shocks
  • TEIN adjustable camber plates
  • Reset leaf springs
  • Techno Phantoms 14x6.5 with 165/55 tyres
  • New black carpets and placed sound deadening panels across floor
  • Front chin spoiler
  • Aftermarket steering wheel
All certed (although certed for 14x6s, cant tell the difference). Current WOF and Rego.

Those who have seen it will agree with me thats its pretty bloody tidy.

Looking for around $7500 and comes with a heap of spare parts including original struts, springs, wheels, mudguards, hubcaps, as well as lowering blocks and shorter shocks which will lower the car another 30mm or so. Get in touch if you are genuinely interested and I'm happy to chat.

Will update with new pictures (with new wheels) but this is it.

I am the one who originally found this car and posted it on here I think and then Beaver was the lucky purchaser.

I can vouch for how tidy this car was/is. Was a very hard car to fault at the time, had been well looked after by the elderly owner and yes it was a very low owner car.

I remember thinking at the time it was way too nice to mess with, then I saw what Beaver has done and he has done it justice.

Good luck with the sale, worth every cent.

Yeah I met the seller when the Beaver picked it up too.
You would look for a very long time to find one in this condition again. Easliy one of the mintest KB210's in NZ.
I think I said at the time of purchase that anyone can build a ruthless hot-rodded datsun. But it's much much harder (And significantly more expensive) to recreate the level of original tidyness that this coupe exhibits.
Like Hayden says, it was too nice to butcher, but Andrew has done it justice by not ruining it's charm.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Cheers guys, appreciate the kind works.

Ill also mention that everything apart from the rear leafs (which I dont have a spare set for) is there to return to standard condition if you are that way inclined.
