I am planning on taking my 510 off the road after next summer and do a full rebuild on her. I will start a thread soon as I collect stuff for her, which I have already started doing.
Now in terms of interior, the front seats are currently racing Racaro's, and the rear are re-trimmed Silvia seats. The door cards are essentially cardboards. I have wanted to take it back to original, with the option of possibly having period correct front seats if so be.
The other week I bought some original door cards, rear seat and low back 510 front seats. However, I have the option of swapping the 510 front seats for some 160B SSS seats. They are tempting because they are period correct, look a bit sportier and you can adjust the back. I have heard that the standard front 510 seats are not that comfortable?
Anyways, I have attached some photos of both seats. Keep in mind that no matter which seats I go for, they will be re-trimmed in black vinyl anyways. My questions are around the 160B seats and how they will come up in black vinyl? Is it going to cost me more than what it is really worth doing? They are not in the best conditions as well, is this something I should be worried about? Anyone got any pictures of what they look like in vinyl?
