Ive had my 910 for about 5-6 years now, bout it from one old owner with 135000ks on the clock and it was dead standard.
Factory z18, orig everything and he had never had the motor cracked open.
After about 2 weeks of ownership, i got to getting it up to scratch as it handled like a boat and didnt go that well even with the turbo.
So the first stop was to get an exhaust put on, i went for a 21/2 inch direct off the turbo. This made it go heaps better. Next on the list was suspension. I took it to mag and turbo and got brand new shocks and springs installed. They managed to cock it up and fitted springs from a mitsi sigma as they couldnt read a parts catalog properly. needless to say they were so soft i was able to put my foot down in any gear and get the towbar to make sparks
got allt that sussed out, did the intake and sourced a u13 bluebird intercooler.
I kept it in this state for about 2 years, took it to meremere and ran a 15.1
So now it was time to sort out panel and paint.
getting prepped in the booth
Final paint
And the finished product

Re: Adrian's 910 SSS
Good! gotta get it done right!
Re: Adrian's 910 SSS
So about 2 or so years ago my old motor went bang doing 40Kph in auckland traffic pulling 2000RPM. was absolutely gutted as i was sure id blow it up doing skids or something stupid.
So luckily i happened upon a Z18t from a toyota corolla racecar. it had the following done....
factory bottom end
aftermarket valves of some type
aftermarket double valve springs
ports polished
v ground valve seats
high lift kelford cam
top mount extractors
t3/t4 steel shaft turbo
38mm Tial external wastegate (vents to atmosphere bloody loud)
Link V5 LEM, with engine loom to suit
Link boost controller
Link hand controller
SR20det throttle body
Big snout K&N filter
1 x 1lt polished catch can with filter
550cc rx7 injectors
U13 Bluebird intercooler
double sprung custom button race clutch
Once i took ownership of it i got the engine split open, the block O-ringed. and a carbon fibre head gasket slotted in.
Next came the fun task of pulling out the old and putting in the new.
Swapping the old bits for the new ones off my block
the beginning of an argument on why the bloody motor wasnt mating up with the gbox properly.
And how it should mate up
I think by this point we had been trying to get the motor on the box for about 2-3 hours by now, and really pissed off as we had run outta beer!
Finally all in
