Re: Jordans 120y
Good day at the office today. Right front guard and scuttle panel were panel beated and bogged during the week and primed on Friday. Today I paint stripped the bonnet and purple wheeled the left front guard. It's never been bolted to a car and had started to get a bit rusty from sitting around. After being bare metaled they got a coat of deoxidine and then a few thick coats of epoxy primer

Re: Jordans 120y
Deoxidine is a bare metal chemical treater. You mix it with a bit of water and then scrub it on with a bit of red scotch brite and then wipe it off before epoxy priming

Re: Jordans 120y
But of a small update on what's happened over the last wee while. Both front guards, bonnet and left front door primed. Got a front valance off trademe that was supposed to be 'good condition and rust free' but it wasn't quite. Welded that on today and tidied up the front panel/radiator support. In an ideal world it would get a new front panel aswell since its been poorly repaired previously but God knows where I would get one so it will just have to do

Re: Jordans 120y
More progress happening, slowly but surely. All four doors are now repaired and in primer. Front and rear windows are out, stripped out the roof lining, chrome strips from the roof gutters and some floor trims. Cut out the rust from the roof which was a patch on the inner and outer skin's just above the c pillar and roof join. They fill the gap with heaps of lead which wasn't fun to dig out and made welding the new patches in rather difficult. Replaced a couple patches in the right side roof gutter aswell
