I had a customer come in a month ago and drop off a rear tail light panel for a 180 b coupe, it was completely rooted and he needed it repaired , he left it with me and I would go to it every now and again ,hoping for inspiration and insight from the gods of rust repairs to figure out a way to fix it, in the end I decided I couldnt fix the old panel but I would have a crack at making a new one from scratch. Making it in 2 halves and joining it in the centre helped a lot , as I only had to concentrate on one side at a time. Anyway it came out pretty good and the owner is stoked.Pictures for you guys who love this stuff.
