Another thing sorted today, after much mucking around and buying a universal oil feed kit from trade me, which was really universal, but not quite universal enough, I chased up some xtra fittings which allows the oil line to fit the turbo, and now I have the potential for the oil to lubricate the turbo, and return to the sump.
purchased some more silver solder and half inch Bundy tube, and re-did the leaking fuel rail on one end , djz lent me a tapping tool for threading the cylinder head to take the water temp sender, and made the flange to mount the exhaust to turbo, and Greg hooked me up with a narrow band co2 sensor, all up everything is in place to get it to the starting point.

Another weekend gone, but nothing got done :( between sports and birthday party, s the weekend came and went.
But yesterday I did acquire a new coil, leads and temp sensor for the head, I went to drill and tap the side of the head for the efi temp sensor, but it turns out the head I have is a different casting to my spare parts one, and doesn't have the same flat flange on the side of the thermostat housing, so I am going to have to get some alloy tube and bridge the top radiator hose, and put the sensor after the thermostat, not where I ideally wanted it but it will still work.

I used one of those universal oil feed lines initially, but after about 500km the rubber hose melted inside the braided line.
Got a new one made up from ENZED hoses and haven't had a problem since.

:deadhorse: well that's not the best news I've had today, I also got told by cylinder head specialist that they could have made one up for less than what it cost from trade me, oh well live and learn aye, to be fair I haven't used it yet so could possibly send it back and ask for a refund.

It might be fine, just thought I'd mention it.
It was just a pain in the arse for me to change mine, as I had to take all the carbs and manifold off again.

Turns out that was actually good news after all, it prompted me to e-mail the supplier of said oil feed kit and request a guarantee that it had silicon lines and not some crappy rubber ones, said supplier e-mailed back and said return it and ill refund your money, so obviously it does have crappy rubber liners.

So off down to cylinder head specialists who made me up everything I needed for $110.00 lol $10 cheaper than the trade me kit .

totally reccomend these guys ,

so to re-cap

oil lines are done
fuel manifold holds pressure
new temp sensor for engine
new leads
need to fabricate coolant pipe with boss for megasquirt water temp sensor
wire megasquirt loom, and kick it in the guts

NOTE TO SELF, FILL GEARBOX WITH OIL
