Re: Datto_610's 180B - Cert Prepping!
I'd take out those crush tubes. and fit a rubber washer under a washer under the head of the bolt. Or some such.
you need to try keep any part tied to the engine, rubber isolated from the body. Those crush tubes will clamp up hard, transfering vibration from the zhorst, to the bolt, which could transfer to the Xmember, and into the body.

They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Attacked the crossmember with a flapper disc yesterday in preparation for sandblasting, Bart got me onto a mate of his that does a little bit powder coating so stripped the old paint etc off myself. Flapper disc made pretty short work of the old paint just jad to wire brush and hand sand the hard to reach parts
Also made a start on the sway bar bush spacers out of some flat bar I had lying around. Excuse the not so straight cuts and most probably not in line holes but I plan on tidying it up on a belt grinder/linisher and will most likely need to slot the holes as well. It's only 5mm flat so may need something thicker but will try these first.
