Portioning Valves

Post by torqued »

Hey,
Quick question for confirmation.
Are the original Datsun portioning valves rubbish in todays world?
Whats the goto one that people uses nowadays?

Cheers

Do you mean proportioning valve? I'm running the standard datsun in my car and I'm sure plenty of others are but have seen some pretty swish wilwood ones online

The 510 realm guys like the wilwood one, apparently it's setup to slightly hit the rear brakes first so that you minimise the dive when you first hit the brakes.

What master cylinder? A lot of the new ones have the proportioning valve built in.

There are some LVVTA rules about what adjustable ones you can use as well.
