Re: Farm Fresh 620
Following last years port hills cruise I removed the castor arms to straighten them as they where quite bent, while they were out I machined the threads longer to make them adjustable. It took about 30 mins to remove them and about 8 months to get around to putting them back in

Hi Hamish,
I hate to spoil the party here but in my experience ( on the 1200's ) what you have just done is an absolute no no!
The reason being they break.
I would strongly advise against putting those back in the car.
Cheers
Dave

Re: Farm Fresh 620
Dave,
Probably not so much of an issue in these with the 'a' arm arrangement
An A arm example - 330 cedric have no castor rod and 430 cedric's do with the same/similar arms, and use various amounts of "packing washers' to adjust castor.
Id think most of the reason the 1200 ones break is not 'hinging' the joint and pulling them forward to high castor numbers (when factory is probably 0 or neutral) causing them to stress. Alot of load on that point in 1200's trying to hold those front legs up for a skinny little rod.
Just my 2c

Re: Farm Fresh 620
Also a side not for you Hamish
Both the 620's here have bowed arms - bowed the same amount - maybe factory??
At least with straight ones and your extra thread they will be tucked away more as they hang pretty low
