Somehow is spent three weeks fitting up two heater hoses on this, but the time spent keeps them between the rocker covers on the engine
So now this mess is getting covered with this

Oh yeah, I had the fuel system up to pressure too, had a leak to fix and now seems to be holding. Waiting on the rocker covers and then it might/ might not run. Still have brakes to hook up and bleed ( I can’t find a couple of bits) and sort out vacuum lines for the heater control (not looking forward to this)

Re: Otodats President
Spent the day tweaking the cover and making mounting points, ready for some paint now
And l thought I better check bonnet clearance with a crush test, 35 mm, guess it’ll be right

Mounted the window washer bottle under the slam panel today. Might need to paint it black so it doesn’t stand out through the grill. Also have the engine cover in primer and guide coat. I foresee a trip to Hamilton in the near future for paint.

Re: Otodats President
Made a cock up on the vacuum lines, I took a diagram of the hook up on the heater box and the vacuum control box but not the joiner through to the cabin sooo
Pulled the dash back out
To get a diagram of this
So I could hook up this
All told I would say around 7 to 8 hours of undoing then redoing stuff this week. Also got some paint for the engine bits this week. Be next weekends job I guess.

Re: Otodats President
Got the codes off the ecu this evening
Going from https://www.troublecodes.net/nissan/pre88nssn/
14 speed signal not entered while engine is running
22 electric current for fuel pump is extremely low or high
23 the on/off signal from idle switch is not entered with ignition switched to ON
24 the neutral/park switch is not entered after ignition is switched to ON
31 load switches signal not entered after ignition is switched ON
Did also note the battery light is on when running, although it does appear to be charging ( 14v at battery when running)
As usual, I welcome any advice.

Re: Otodats President
Some bits with the vacuum lines I’m not sure about so wil put it out there
I have this type of setup for the egr valve, where vacuum comes from the throttle body to valve 14956
But for Nissan nccs type control valve there is a port for egr do not quite sure if this is right. I did have the lines marked, but over time the numbers have faded and are now useless
I think, maybe, the line went to valve 27655Y in the below diagram which is part of the cold start bypass system ( note this diagram is for the prefacelift ) I just can’t seem to find fig G27-30 which would probably give me the answer I need
Thoughts?

I seem to remember long ago when I had my Laurel that the crank angle sensor code always shows up, then you're meant to crank the starter and it should disappear.
Regarding the EGR and whatnot.... delete it and the charcoal canister and don't look back would be my suggestion.
