Yep I would rather have Kitch's mint 1200 sedan for a fifth of the price. A Zed is cool but can you honestly expect to ever get higher than 20k? (unless you sell back to Japan)

agree with ya tony. at that price you could most likely rebuild a zed to a darn good example and still buy kitchs 1200

It is very nice though (sans those rims!)Flauski wrote:Or how about a 240Z for 55k Its tidy but why do people insist on being able to make money/recover all costs when doing ground up rebuilds?

Ground up rebuilds are are sure fire way to lose a truck load of money unless you hold onto the finish product and keep it immaculate for years and years.
But yeah 55k too much.
I wont get half of the money I have put into my datsun back if I tried to sell it.
My orangatang 510 here.

Thats the car that James mentioned being for sale in another thread. Reportedly undergone a baremetal resto. By the looks of it, it has been carried out to the highest possible standard too.
Not my cup of tea though. (too pretty, and not fast enough for the price)

I'm sure when I saw them 2 days ago they were 1500, now they are 5000, (Do I sense a conspiracy? is Datsun inflation real or created)
