Yeah Chris, I would agree that the CSP311 is the rarest Nissan/Datsun in NZ.
theres a few 410's hanging around the place.....not sure how many are SSS tho?
and as far as I know....there are no double cab 620's (u620?) they are badass

The cars in that link made my face spasm!
How the fuck did all those Nissans/Datsuns come to one place!
I want to have sex with 90% of all those cars!

Those cars were all pretty sweet. I must say I'm more interested in normal road cars than racecars or special "one-off" cars but I still enjoyed looking through all those pictures.
Is there a registry or anything that keeps track of how many of each model are registered in NZ at any given time? It would be interesting to know how many other examples of our cars are hitting the streets (semi)regularly.

It would be super interesting to somehow search the NZ registration database for,say Datsun and wade through for cool shit...

We could start our own datsun registry.
The NZ mopar forum has a mopar registry.

Register sounds like a big Job, and hard to keep up to date. The people who are keen are those acquiring the cars, when they are deceased or on sold no action would probably be taken, unless it was done by the new owner. I question if it would be worth the effort for the accuracy of the result, sorry to be a downer.
I see there is a 510 register, how is that working, in practise it might be different.
The Zcar Forum has one for Zeds, you'd be amazed how many 240s there are still out there. So info like that could be interesting, but may drive prices down when you may be wanting them to become more desirable and scarce.
Has anyone approach Land Transport, maybe this info is available? General numbers, not particular details.
