my apologies, I meant zinc,d and ill be running a water to air cooler, so not to worried, in fact I may even look at enamel coating.nick_m wrote:anaodizing is for alloy only Wal, If you do a steel one you can get it zinc'd or chromed
I would do alloy if you can, being non cross flow motor a steel intake manifold is going to suck up alot of heat. Though chroming it would help

Have you sorted any of the water to air stuff yet? I have Toyota MA63 Celica water to air heat exchangers that I'll let go for cheap...

Google the injector sizes - those dimensions I gave were off the top of my head.
And yes you can pop injectors / fuel rails off, I did that in an early run up tests on my coupe, when my fuel rail was held down by zip ties...
Was a fun moment in my life, with 3 bar fuel pressure spraying all over my hot engine bay, never moved so fast, shut off ignition, grabbed extinguisher and rags, and were all over it in about 5 seconds.... very stressful moment....
never again... pulled manifold off soon after, and had my fixing bars welded in between my inlet runners, that pull the fuel rail down nice & firm.

It was this moment in your build thread that had me wondering about the injectors being held in place.Kitch wrote:Google the injector sizes - those dimensions I gave were off the top of my head.

I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Fucking holley carbs. Leak like bullet riddled sieves. I like how his fix to begin with was to keep trying to start it. Then when the gas can went up, he said FUCK. And took it outside. Comedy gold.
