I've been told that, unless it's an approved brand (such as cusco), you need to have them xrayed and stress tested etc in order to have them certified

Normally X-ray is used to test welds, there shouldn't be any welds on most castor rods. Have heard some cert guys can be pretty picky though

One of the guys in AKL is a real cabbage. Hasn't got a clue what he's on about. Saw my corvette at my mates shop while I was visiting and told me I need to have heat shields on the side pipes in case a kid touched the exhaust...
