update, been calling in to the paint shop every week, they've made progress but going to be a while yet
So carring on building the engine instead. Picked up my head about two weeks ago now and came up pretty good, they said the ports were all good too. Started re-asembling it but still waiting for my cam and valve springs from kelfords, and also forgot how the valve spring seats go together like ha, i'll figure it out though.
Ended up ordering a new set of z16 pistons pins and rings because sta parts had a set on the shelf and they were a good price, they have a raised top but then four wee valve cut outs, should still run the same compression though. 030 oversize so its boring time
Striped my complete l16 down and found no more damage, going to drop it off for boring, acid dipping and a deck next time i'm down in invers. Have also put an order in for some goddies from datsport for the moter
