Car is booked in to get its complete brake line overhaul for monday which means ripping the effen engine out (for hopefully the last time).
Getting the cross member, engine and gear box mounts powder coated too.
Just installed LSD, started wiring up all the sound system properly. Man I just had it running a quarter of the sounds and that almost made me def! Gonna be scary loud to the point I am starting to wonder why I am installing so much ice.
Tomorrow I am installing the dash and removing the engine. Monday dropping the car off for brakes, Tuesday looking for a small software programming job before I start a software engineering degree next year.

Keep it up.
Cheers bro, hows your 510 going? I am about to look back through the threads lol.

Engine and gearbox came out fine. Took the car in to get the brake lines and fuel lines in and  at the price when I got a call today.

I was expecting between $400 and $500. Bill was at $450 excluding GST before they installed the fuel lines. So expecting around $700 bill.
Pics will come thursday when I pick it up.

$614 final bill.

Not entirely happy with the job as they used the old tags and didnt make it all mint and aligned. They did it that way they said because they didnt want to drill and install new clips in my engine bay lol.

Are you not running a brake bias valve with the FJ?

Also I didn't think you could run your rear brake line down the drive shaft tunnel if you have increased your power output by x amount, I.e putting the FJ in? It's just something I read in the low volume vehicle certification guide.

Just food for thought.

They attached the proportioning valve to the bottom of the master cylinder.

As for the brake line down the tunnel, not sure, but the brake place knew what was going back in the car so thought they would have known not to put it there, but I will have to check. Thank you.

Yea I should have attached mine to the bottom of the master cylinder, would have saved a number of headaches for me, but I'm happy with where it is now.

With regard to the lines in the tunnel, I would hate for you to get it all finished and to have finished everything and have to move them.

I've seen that in the Low volume hobby car technical manual too.
I'm pretty sure that only applies to if the factory didn't run them there. There are heaps of repowered 510's kicking around, and I've not heard of anyone being made to re-route that line?
