8port ca's are 10 and 4ports (mine) are 15 apparently. So I put it at 10 just to be safe for now

Its been a while but dont you have to earth out the pinout box before you set the timing.

I would try it at Nissan spec 15 deg, even just to eliminate it from the list of potential things to try
Who knows could make all the difference. I understand less timing reduces risk of detonation but it also increases EGT's which can be a bad thing too.

Yeah good point, I'm running only 98 fuel so I guess detonation shouldnt be an issue at such low boost anyway Ay? What are symptoms of a dodgey knock sensor by the way? Would that be a possible?

I'd go for the 15deg too man.
Also are you 100% sure on your cam timing? with the wrong cam timing, it will still be nice and smooth e.t.c., but will severely reduce your power.
I had an old L20B I put together, and turns out after a few months of thinking this should have more power.....I check it, and moved the cam by only 1 tooth, and presto......much more powerful
If your knock sensor was bad, then it would put the ECU into limp mode.....limiting you to about 2500rpm, run rich as, and like a bag of shit, so your probably safe there......but if all else has been tried, then yes, you can replace it with a resistor (as 85_Z31 said).

Allrighty, so I'll try 15degrees first up then. If that doesn't help il try redoing the cambelt (might need you to come watch me to double check when your free) even tho im 99.9% sure the marks all lined up

So I haven't changed anything yet and was getting almost 10psi yesterday. Weird but good lol seems to have fixed it's self. Pulls like a freight train. Can wait to get it dyno tuned to 20+ psi
