here is how my diff looks with the finned rear cover and drilled out for 10mm bolts

That rear cover is a 2 bolt z32 NA version

Ah I see, looks good to me, it's not getting a bit to thin in the casing when you drill and tap the diff housing? (I haven't compared the wall thickness off the casing where the cover bolts between short and longnose r200s yet) i assume it's about the same?

its heaps thick in there, and its only drilled out 1mm bigger than before because the rest of it is thread which gets tapped into it

Diff case drilled and tapped for M10 bolts to suit a late style cover


Backlash nicely in spec at 0.17 - after some re shimming


if you look close you can see the M10 bolt.

Siiiick, I should get it one of those Greddy high volume covers for it

And fit a pump and cooler for it too.

With a big cover on the back it won't need a cooler, mine takes nearly 3 quarts of oil, with my old cover it only took about 1 & 3/4 quart bottles. And the Greddy covers hold heaps more than the Z32 Covers
