No head unit. Airplay from the iPhone (sending the music using WiFi) via Raspberry Pi (acting as an airplay receiver) fed to a Boschmann Parametric Graphic EQ. That outputs to the amplifier for the mid woofers and the subwoofer's amp.

Might video a demo of it all in action this weekend.

Allow me to rephrase my question: Will you be cutting up that radio surround, and if so would you part with it as mine's been cut for a CD player and I don't care about car audio?

thanks for the translation, I turned my computer upside down and re-read it but it still didn't make sense.

So I took a Raspberry Pi, built a little power supply (to feed the RPi the 5v it needs), added a wifi dongle, compiled the drivers for it and set it up as a wireless access point. Configured the OS to support Airplay and now I have WiFi HiFi lol.

Translation: I took some electronic shit, set up some shit so now I can play my music from my phone without tethering it via wires.

Here is a vid example of the wireless setup running off a 9v battery plugged into a stereo in the house (just to demo how it works).

PM me if you need instructions (but if you are tech minded you may just do it yourself).
