This should be good - gonna try set some $$ aside to do it in the y - ive done two oldschool trackdays at the taupo track - bucketloads of fun - drive as fast or slow as you like.
I went once with the standard a15 and once with the CA - needs a 4.1 diff as the gearing is too long was still hooking 130km on short straight.
You usually go out for around 5 lap intervals with usually ten cars spread around the whole track makes for good fun trying to catch and pass - and what an awesome event to go to and you'll be pissing on the HONDAAAAs
.
if not im gearing up for the playday on track event in feb/march

Big ups to those who went ahead and formalised this club! Being more than just an internet Forum must help make this type of interclub thing happen easier. (And those connecting with the other forums and clubs paving the way.)

Actually, I saw the guy from NZhondas invite on the silvia forum. So I PM'd him to say there may be some takers here too. In time it'd be really good to have a big presence from this club at trackdays.

Yeah, I know the feeling, not working sucks the $$$, but it's great having a bit more time to fit some of those goodies I have been Squirreling away over the years. I haven't run the car since fitting a new engine, (new to me, more HP) it's been sitting since baby arrived in June 09 so I am really keen to turn some wheels in anger!!

I'll check it out tomorrow if I can Bart, he had said Wof or log book, but then said something like 'overalls and helmet is all they need really'. What he did say was no boy racers, I pressed him and he said no burnouts or donuts. It's about doing laps not burning rubber, that said as long as good progress is being made a little tyre smoke is tolerable. Then said something about our Datsuns not being capable of drifting the sweeper.
