i dont build handgrenades.

Hey Brendan ive lived by the saying of build the car arouds the wheels. As always you will be tested as to how far to go to fit the wheels but it will always be worth it. Ive also convince Mark to live by this one two as he is doin everything he can to fit his 18s on the truck so go for it i say no matter how much work is required

if it aint a grenade, then the engine is too tame!
But, there is a difference between a hand grendade, and a grenade with the pin pulled. at least SR's have lots of cheap and plentiful goodies available to that the pin stays firmly in place.

dont think theu would look good on your valiant bart, and would also ruin your muscle car stance on the 1200

some more pics from shanes 1600 fabrication workshop:
with further discussion, and some unhappiness after more failed clearance adjustments for the adjustable rear xmember, shane suggested we chuck one of my wheels on his stock white 1600 and check clearances with the factory xmember.
with shane applying weight down on the rear, there was 2mm clearance between tyre and guard lip, except the car was sitting too high compared with my desired height for mine.
further checks to be made with stock 1600 rear end to determine desired placement of xmember brackets, my prediction will be 5-10mm inwards of original bracket measurements.

and big thanks to shane for all his help, advice, time, shed space, donor 1600 body, mig welder, tools and equipment for the work done so far, cheers for putting up with me, and keeping me inline!!
