Hi everyone, I'm still alive lol. Even though I ain't done much on my car, I still visit and see how others are getting on with their rides. 2 main reasons why my project has stalled, kronic rust and being addicted to steam engines. I restore and operate full sized traction engines and locomotives at The Plains Railway in the Tinwald Domain, Ashburton as well as working steam models which is a very expensive hobby to have. I removed the windscreen to find out why I always got wet feet while drive in the rain, pictures will explain this! I have put those lovely white seats out of my orange parts car into the green machine now. I have imported from Japland genuine 610 fender mirrors instead of using those other monstrosity version of fender mirrors . I have also imported from Japland another set of delicious Auto-Bahn Mesh wheels of 14 x 7 and 14 x 7.5 in mint condition (they still have the manufacturers warning notice sticker on the backside on all 4 of them) for only $680 including shipping! They have a couple of dings from kerbs which had been ground out, but otherwise mint for 30-40 years old and salt roads . Due to the extra costs now imposed on me (god damn rust!), I sold the CA18de and 5 speed and have decided to put a hot L20b and 5 speed in it. I fitted one of those reversed engine x-members from maddat.com.au a couple of years ago, so it would still be possible in the future for me to upgrade the power plant if so desired. My orange parts car is rust free across the bottom of the windscreen, so I might be able to do a cut and paste job
