get nick to draw it up in cnc format and then get it machined? most places will price it includeing materials, would be cheaper to fabricate though

Does he have his heart set on alloy?
My old man might be looking for a foreigner to do at the moment. He made all my blower bits for me..............

If he's after a billet, steel would be mad cheaper. That is quite a large block of material, and would not be cheap to buy.

hes looked into steel but in the long run, it'll be dearer as the machining costs are more for steel

he says, most places you pay for the time it takes to machine etc, so in his and my mind then machining steel will take longer/cost more versus alloy.

ill get a pic as soon as its emailed through

Correct, so why are you machining it?
For the cost of machine work you could probably pop down to Petes customs or the like and get one fabbed up for a fraction of the price. I'd definitely wouldn't be machining something like that....
