R31 Front Struts - Coilovers

Okay I've had a bit of a look around now at different setups. Can anyone think of any reasons these wouldn't work on my front struts (R31) in my 180B?

Was thinking about getting approx 300lb springs?

I was looking at just getting my current springs re-tensioned (since it's much cheaper) but I figure it might be worth spending the cash now to have a setup that I won't need to go back and alter further on down the line. Your thoughts?

do it right 1st time. they look like they may work, but i would personally take a little more time, spend a littke more cash and speak to someone 1st hand about what you have, what you want the setup to do etc etc.

Well I'm conversing via email with the guys from Ground Control at the moment, going to take some measurements and let them know what I need.

Has anyone over here used coilovers from these guys? They do a rear coilover setup to suit my car so I'd like to source my fronts through them as well. Would be helpful to hear some feedback about them though.

They will work with any datsun strut which are all basically 2 inch outer diameter of the strut (51mm ID for the sleeve).

They are alloy though, so you need to weld on the small round metal section they provide rather than the sleeve itself.

The only part that may be different is the top hat for the spring, you'll need to provide the size and possible model of insert you are using.
