Oh sh!t, help with my A fift

Post by Josh »

I have a left over washer, its a meaty bugger, 33mm across and 4.5mm thick, only a small hole, as i though the only thing that thick would be the crank pulley washer...its not it!

Help?

Wish to re-assemble engine this weekend and im banking on the fact its important.

hmmm, doesnt sound like an a-series washer to me!

what size is the hole in the washer?

its not off the front of the camshaft? i could be thinking of a different motor....

Its greasy on one side, pretty clean the other. Not a manifold one, as thatw as taken off in a different part of the shed, and would be rusty and heated.

The hole is approx 5-6mm.

I found an online manual, and it could well be one of the timing gear washers...

if the hole will take an 8mm bolot, i'd say its out of your cam sprocket.
