rear springs captivity

I seen this on a forum today
could be a good idea to keep rear springs captive when you lobe off a few coils

Hows that attached? just welded to diff tube or locates over the ..locator?

Dont know sorry dude. just looks to be sitting on the lower arm spring locater and using spring pressure to hold it in place to me

Wonder if it affects the sprung height..
Ill be looking into this as i need alot more low.

The only way that would keep your spring captive is by raising the height of the car. Which negates the point of cutting your springs.
I think that's only been put in to allow a bit of height adjustment, and possibly the use of common adjustable coilover type springs.

That's why I went with these as an alternative. Worked a treat but don't need them any more as I changed the shocks.
