Hi again more questions how much am i looking at for a dog leg 5 spd short box .
And will a 4 door 1600 drive shaft fit the j , my Haynes bible says total length is 1263.50 mm ,and how much am i looking at for the drive shaft it's the three joint type .

I don't know anything about the three joint shafts, But I do know someone who Can shorten a one piece one locally cheap.

Thanks this is the sss so has the independent suspension so has the two piece drive shaft with the bit in the middle

Its interesting that you mention the single piece and 2 piece shafts.
Ive owned 3 160Js one i wrecked and all 3 had single piece shafts. Then i know a guy who as had 2 of them both had 2 piece shafts. with a hanger bearing.
I have a spare drive shaft from a 160j i know for sure it suits a 4speed and a R30 standard pattern 5 speed cos its been behind both.
Should be find behind the dogleg.

hey i hav both drive shaft and dog leg but i want the dog leg 4 my 240k
tha drive shaft is single peice but was out of a 160j sss
