hey yea my car is still off the road.. iv changed the xmember radius rods struts an lower arms an put back together got a set of 2nd hand mags just the same as my other ones i had 215/50/13s but now the mag/tyres stick out about 20mm pass the gaurd? i cant figure out why an how iv been trying to adjust my tierod ends b4 taking it for a wheel inlingment but all that does is make the tyres face in more or out so dont know what to do theirs no other adjustment has anyone had this problem before or any idea whats going on i can get some pictures up if needed? really want it on the road this month so its all sorted for next month

When you say that you got another set the same as your other ones, are you sure they are the same width and offset? You could put 215/50/13s on a range of wheel widths, and even if the width is the same, if the offset was different that could make them stick out more.

adjusting the tie rod ends wont fix that, all that will do is changed the toe in or out. make sure you do get a wheel alignment done after doing this as it will affect the handling and tyre wear alot.

as far as the wheels sticking out, it will either be the different offset of the new wheels like mike said, so maybe try on the original set you had.

if that doesnt fix it, then one of the new parts you fitted will be slightly different in length. did you change your bottom suspension arms? if you did, that may cause the whole hub assembly to sit further out

i got the parts of sht cant member his name think it was blair? was stripping down a square headlight sunny that was going to be a track car i think he said.. i got the struts lower arm,stabiliser bar,suspension crossmember tension rod bracket.. im looking at the pictures in my book an reading out what they say so some names mite be called diffrent things the tension rod brackets didnt fit but i didnt need em everything alse has bolted up sweet but my struts seem to have the mean camber angle when jacked up n the air? i got some pictures my computers a peice but will try upload em

If you have more camber, you may now have the longer ball joints. There are two different lower ball joints for the B310. one of them is 10mm longer, and will give more negative camber.

sori my computers slow an shit so thats the only way i know how to upload pictures onto here but please click the link you mite get a better idea on whats going on? want to get it sorted asap so know its sweet 4 next month 4 the akaroa cruise
oyea an i put my old mags on i orignally had an no diffrence looked a little bit better but still not good, my dad is confused too with whats going on an reakons i need to get smaller size tyres lol

Edit: Hadn't scrolled up far enough...

Like Dylan suggested, maybe the different lower arms are causing the whole setup to sit further out? Can you compare the lengths of the new components to the old ones?
Is there any reason why you changed the arms and stuff as opposed to just swapping the struts over?

Barts right........... If I remember correctly, you have a round head light B310 Sunny and those front struts, LCA's and radius rods are from a square head light B310 Sunny.

If you want I can bring up another set on Tuesday, come around and see if we can sort it out.

an as some people mite have known a couple of months ago i hit a gutter an ripped the radius rod out its bracket an bent the wheel,so i got all em parts an changed all of what i have just to be safe.are em square headlight parts diffrent?
an i just copyed an pasted em links again i seen em b4 replied an clicked it an got to the picture so hopefully yous can see em now
an what other parts do you have blair?
its been so frustrating it been of the road this long an now it seems ready to go except the tyres hitting the gaurd
