Anybody in Christchurch interested in a 260Z 2+2 project that needs a lot of love?
I've decided that I don't really have the time/room/energy/funds to have 3 old Nissans so my 260Z 2+2 will have to go. I don't have any photos of it yet as it's being stored round at a mates house.
Currently has a probably poked L26 with a horrible suck through carby turbo setup in it, it's auto but I have a manual pedal box for it. I haven't personally had it running but apparently it did (only on 5) when it got to Christchurch 2 or 3 years ago. I have set of L26 SU's with manifold to go with it. I also have an E88 head that has apparently had about $5000 spent on it several years ago, has a reground cam of some sort it in, bigger exhaust valves, aluminium retainers, possibly heavier valve springs.
It's fairly rusty in the sills below the doors, around the tail lights and various other places, it will need some fairly serious body work. The boot hatch is rooted due to rust, I have a good one to replace it with but it's in Auckland at the moment, I'll get it down when the car is sold.
It'll have the 14" meshy wheels off my R30 on it when it's sold, I've polished up one and it came up pretty damn good, the others still need to be done.
I'm wanting $2000 for it as that's about what it owes me with all the spare parts included. It's non negotiable and will end up on Trademe in January sometime for that price. I have other parts that could possibly go with it for extra, a couple of L28 engines, LD28 crank & L20ET rods etc

Yeah, it's a bit sad selling my first S30 without actually doing anything to it but I think at the moment I'd rather spend the money on my Z and finishing off the R30 that I've got.
The guy asking questions about it on Trademe obviously doesn't want to keep an L series in it, I'm betting on some sort of dinosaur V8 conversion.

yea I was tempted because I have a L28 that I was thinking of rebuilding and turboing for my 280 but the motor in my 280 is quite fresh so it would need a new home
