HELP PLEASE - Who in Chch knows Datsun 1200 - UB5325

Does anyone know who the owner is or where the datsun 1200 is with registration UB5325?

Think he lives over by QEII park somewhere.

I sold him some plates and tags a year ago, and now find he has been racking up some fines, and never changed the ownership.

At the time I never filled out disposal certificate fully, as I never got his surname

what an idiot I was


Can anyone point me in the right direction, so I can get in touch with him??

Hey Kitch I cant help with where the car is but have been thru this before.
Cancel the reg and always say you did the change of owner ship part but its up to the new owner to do their part which he hasnt. I had to go to court and stated the steps I took once I found out it was still in my name (cancel reg and write letters etc) for fines under $200. Cops were dicks but the judge was on my side. I guess it may be easier for you as its in a different part of the country.

I like it...get yourself a nice new 1200 real cheap! Would be a good way for sure to get them to sort it out...

the guy went as the user "drafty" on DOCNZ - he brought the plates off me april last year.

Sorry didnt phrase it well..I was more meaning in the event of the vehicle being found it is effectively your vehicle. I guess another worry is if the law does get involved they may find out you sold just plates/tags...

All I can say is hope it all works out and ill be keeping an eye out for the plates/car.
