So the story goes...
Some kids were around yeasterday so their parents could have a shower and stuff from the earthquake
So we got some lego out and they built some stuff and then left again
Today
I said to Clare " man lego is awesome I want to build something"
Clare said " Awesome fully go and do it"
So i rocked up to paper plus and the girl at the counter was like " is this a present ?"
I was like "nah its for me "
So yeah I had a few drinks and assembled this little beastie !
Man I'm lame but it was awesome and Lego technick was the inspiration for building REAL ACTUAL cars and engines (my old E30 bimmer and now my Z31 )
Project Badass Awesome Tractor- now with lego supercar!

Nice, Still got my yellow lego technic jeep with moving v6 and open diff. I still play with it some times and used 2 cylinders from a bike to make a v8. For how many times I rolled it down the stairs its still mostly there.
Jeez I should get my crash test dummy stuff out haha

lego is great, my wife buys it all the time from trade me, supposed to be for the kids, but she is always the first one to make something new, apparantly to make sure all the bits are there LOL

I was looking at my old super car set from 12 years ago ( i was 10 at the time )
I am considering doing a stock take and ordering all the missing bits to get it all assembled again

Pretty much how I look at it. I've still got all my Lego from when I was a kid.85_Z31 wrote:Lego technick was the inspiration for building REAL ACTUAL cars and engines

Re: Project Badass Awesome Tractor
Lego rocks
Rainey saturdays are now and again spent here, with me and the kids and buckets of lego sprawled around the floor.
I don't know who has more fun me or the kids, (pretty sure its me). keeps us amused for hours.
the kids always scrap over the cool parts like the wide tyres and racing seats though....
I have brought my kids the big airport set, construction site set with crane and stuff, extra planes, cars and city stuff.
I get shitty when they play with them though, as they bust them up, and poor old dad, has to spend 3 heinekens and a couple of hours putting them back together... (thats fine, as long as they dont misplace the pieces!!!!)
I loved lego as a kid, and don't know whether that got me interested in engineering / technical stuff, or cause I was that way inclined perhaps lego was an obvious outlet for me.
Anyway - cool tractor, when my boys a bit older we can hit the cool (but hideously priced) technics stuff!
