Early a12 like in a B110 car has the dizzy at the front and the dip stick goes into a hole drilled into the block, Mid dizzy motors have a tube that comes up from the block, between the oil pump and the fuel pump as per Braasy's image. Early a12 dipsticks are solid wire, with the H-L area crimped flat, a15 is flat steel riveted on to a wire handle. The lengths are also different.funkydato wrote:thought a12 would be the same??

Early ones can get caught in the crank web if they are put in wrong, locking the engine solid on start up
