L Series External Alternator Regulators

Post by Datto_610 »

So guys I got a new car in the weekend but it never made it's way home from Temuka.... Long story short it's at a mechanic in Ashburton who tracked down the issue to a blown alt regulator. The car is a C31 Laurel with an L24 carb motor(pics to follow if I can get it home...) I have 2 L4 alt regs in the garage both with different numbers on them from memory they are both from 180B's with L18's. Would it be possible to use one of these with my L6 motor???? If not urgently need one fom an L6 so I can it to Ashburton to get fixed. Would fix it myself if the car was in chch and too much of a hassle to transport it back in such a short time. was hoping to debut this at the Kaikoura cruise. If anyone can help me out please don't hesitate to call or text me on 0278235141. I took some pics of the regs I have if anyone here knows what they're looking at as I sure don't!!
