Been to see some projects, I decided to put a topic here a mine restoration, which is already late, but I will put pictures of the beginning of restoration ....

My name is Miguel and i'm from Portugal, i have 10 datsun 510...i love this car
I will start the restoration of a Datsun 1600 SSS, as it already have it some years ago and was for parts and is one of my worst cars! (this a bit damaged)
But as I like challenges, I will restore you to promenor and also apply some extra season and give you a few taps on the engine, but that the old fashion!
I have practically all the pieces, new and original!
Then put photos of the material ...

This week toei back of my SSS and already managed to implement the box of 5V, and bought some terminals of the battery click very cool!
Tomorrow I'm going to give a few more hours in the car because I will draw the doors, to remove the hinges and take the slack them ...

Now I will explain how to put the box of 5V!

Step 1:

Hold the engine and mark the position it, to always keep the same measures and measure the box, 4v at site and check everything ... and see the gap that exists in the transmission shaft with the differential...

Step 2

take the box of 4v and compare with that of 5v and review the measures, as you can see the box of 4 is shorter than the 5, but the fit perfectly, 5 and the engine has also fits well in the box of 5 .. .

Step 3

Place the box of 5, but as expected we must cut the floor a little leverage to enter, since the box of 5-speed, is more long ...







4 th stage

Place the box of 5 in the same position and the extent of 4 ... and see if it beats everything right ... so far so good ....
