Re: NzDatsun.com Tool Loan Thread
Not that they are specialist tools, but tools all the same that I did not always have, and were always borrowing from my mechanic neighbour etc, until recent years, I have started to buy a few things I have needed!
If you are in Timaru and have limited access to tools, and need any of the following, for free short term loans,
and I am not using them at the time, then yell out:
- Hydraulic bottle jack small shop press (just a wee supercheap one for pressing out bearings, wheel studs etc)
- Repco Battery Charger (8 amp I think)
- Engine stand, which has had a few A series motors on it, and also some EJ20T's
- Couple of pairs of axle stands
- Torque wrench
- Good solid "low-ish" trolley jack (decent one)
Probably other stuff I have forgotten too....

My orangatang 510 here.
Re: NzDatsun.com Tool Loan Thread - pg 1 tool master list
broke
510 dollies - these bolt on where your front crossmember and rear moustache bar would go. They have braked casters fitted, so you can roll your 510 body around while you prep/paint it. Made them to move my car around, hopefully I won't need them ever again
You can buy them from me for $100 which is less than the cost of the materials in them, or borrow them for a box of beers
