Wanted. 1200 Drag link and other steering bits!

Post by z18et1200coupe »

Hey team. My Drag link/center link is stuffed! I would be pumped if someone had a spare lying around or a wreck they could grab one out of for me. For anyone that doesn't know, its the long steering link that runs horizontal to the car and it connects the left and right tie rods.
I'm also after a steering box drop arm and a pitman arm so I can shorten them and then my steering ratio will be quicker :burnout:

I'm in Auckland but I'm happy to pay shipping from anywhere! One in Auckland would be rad though so I could change it this weekend.

Call or text on 0273219837.

Wicked.

Are you sure? Surely if you shorten the radius of the drop arm you will decrease it's input at the wheel, decreasing the steering ratio, making it more turns of the steering wheel to get the same out come at the wheels. Just my thoughts.
Changing the ratio at one end of the tie rod and not the other can muck up the Karpman angle, causing understeer and the like.

Its Just what I've read on A few forums on datsun1200.com. But I was thinking about it today and shared some of your thoughts.. So I'll have a good look tomorrow at the steering setup and I'll make a D on what to do.. cheers for the input!
