The setup
40mm external gate, 12 psi spring.
GT35 equivalent big turbo
VG30ET
How it behaves on Wate Gate only spring pressure
It boosts pretty hard and in the upper third of the rev range it slowly creeps from 12 - 13 psi at 4500 rpm to about 14 - 15 psi at 6000rpm.
With an open WG dump I can hear the WG is fully open at this point as it makes a unique sound.
with the smaller T3 turbo i did not get boost creep. I expect that due to the Waste Gate sizeing my lowest boost pressure with the gate fully open will be around about 15psi.
The two options are
Bigger waste gate ( not very practical )
slightly more boost and do some tuning ( the obvious choice )
What I want to achieve
I want to set the boost to a stable 15psi so it comes on sooner and stays stable through the rev range with no creep.
I have connected my Waste gate and boost solenoid as per this diagram, in lieu of my kit having any actual instructions.

After some Testing and much frustration
The WG opens with the EBC completely turned off ( simulating a failure ), the pressure goes into the T connector, hits the closed port on the solenoid then carries on to the waste gate diaphragm bypassing the solenoid. ( as per diagram )
The air pushes on the waste gate diaphragm on the pressure side ( as per normal ) on the top side of the waste gate it pushes air out of the top port ( the vent port ) , which goes through the hose into the solenoid and out of the Normally open vent port.
I checked the normally open and normally closed ports by blowing through them before i went for a drive, and this matches the "P for pressure" and "A for actuator" and "R for return" as marked on my solenoid.
For some reason this gives me a maximum boost of 19 psi ( stable ) with a very linear increase from 0psi to 19 psi.
If I turn on the EBC pressure spikes above 20psi which is just really bad, so im not doing that again untill this is solved.
What am I doing wrong here guys ? So far all i have achieved is a really complicated bleed valve that dosn't work properly.
