So, I have a set of 15inch SSR Starsharks.
I am going to assume they are three piece (the look like they are from the photos).
Anyway, I have been reading threads about widening wheels.
Of course almost all are horror stories.
I noticed DJZ and torqued had rims widened and their experience dealing with some of the companies was not always ideal.
The jist I have got to far:
* Elite wheels in Christchurch don't give a shit about their customers and take twice as long as they quote.
* Gavin Batemen produces mixed results or no longer does it.
* Some person in Palmy is supposed to be really good.
Anyway, any advice on where and who to go with for getting them widened?
EDIT: Changed wording to make it clear that the experience torqed had with elite was not great, not the result of his wheels.

Obviously a poor choice of words, but I was referring to your experience dealing with Elite:torqued wrote:Why didnt mine go to plan?

Re: Widening wheels advice needed
Elite in Christchurch are good we get all our speedway saloon wheels through them and always end up with a mint wheel within 4 days of placing order
Re: Widening wheels advice needed
Royce Clive Engineering (in Christchurch) do an excellent job!

No. They get them from Bateman.DJZ wrote:Do they make/supply new ali rim halves?kb110 wrote:Royce Clive Engineering (in Christchurch) do an excellent job!
I thought Elite were an utter bunch of assholes and Honestly Rusty has been the first person i know to to say something nice about them
I really recommend Bateman. He was awesome to deal with well priced and keeped me up to date the whole way.
I was really impressed by way they turned out and his work.
Can't remember price but was around the 1k-1.2k mark inc freight.
2x 4" bands and 2x 2.5" bands
