New valve springs to match stage 4 race cam, set preload?
Hey guys, Anyone want to share views on getting new valves on race cam (push rod motor) preload set with assembly. A15 hotted up, race cam etc. Doing as much as possible myself to keep cost down as building this engine will be 2K trade prices, sounds like a waste of time as its only a fast street car... Not racing it. Whats the deal? I can't imagine the old valves were matched 100%.
Datsun Sunny B310 sedan, 3 Owner, Very hot A15 motor, 5 speed, lowered on 14's

I bought my springs off Kelford camtech.
They came with an measurement to get he right preload. So I measured all my installed heights, and shimmed each spring till it was at that length with the valve closed.
